About

Our MISSION

At Serene Living, we are dedicated to providing a nurturing environment for forgotten veterans, individuals experiencing homelessness, and those facing family crises during their final days.

Our mission is to offer a clean, comfortable, and compassionate home where every resident experiences care, dignity, and grace at the end of life.

Because EVERY LIFE is WORTHY of CARE.

Our WHY

With approximately 13,000 to 15,000 total annual deaths in Bexar County:

-Non-Hospice Deaths (All Causes): Roughly 6,000 to 7,200 individuals die each year without entering hospice care.

-Terminal Illness Without Hospice: Excluding sudden traumatic deaths and acute incidents, an estimated 4,500 to 5,500 residents in the San Antonio area die from end-stage terminal conditions without utilizing hospice services. Because many of them don’t have a caregiver and room and board.

Every Life is Worthy of Care

When you donate it keeps our doors open to care for those at their end-of-life.

No one should die alone without care.
